Tripping It Up: #4. Tallinn, Estonia

After our extra night in Finland, we were able to board a different ferry to Tallinn the next morning. The ferry ride was just over two hours long, so we still had a very solid day to spend in Tallin, even though we didn't get there as early as we'd planned. We spent most of our day just wandering the cobblestone streets of the Old Town (which is built on a rather steep hill), seeing what there is to see and hanging out.

One of the numerous chathedrals we saw. This one was note-worthy due to the fact that it looks like something out of Candy Land inside- lots of twisting white and coloured stripes going up poles and pillars. Too bad taking pictures of the interior is forbidden.

Part of the castle wall. Looking at this photo really makes me want to storm it. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone or pillage anything, but running at a castle wall with a sword  and ladder just sounds kind of fun.

More castle walls and narrow cobblestone streets.

A view of part of the main square. Tallinn has lots of colourful buildings. It really is very pretty. For some reason, I feel like wearing an old bonnet around the city would be fitting. Prehaps this thought stems from  the combination of architecture, colours, and types of streets.

Who doesn't want a boot-shaped rain gutter?

Beauty.

The architecture is incredible. I've always had a secret desire to go to Tallinn, this isn't helping!! Looks amazing.
