11 September 2011

I have been back in Virginia for two weeks now and it has been an interesting adjustment. I'm finally settling into my classes, though I still find myself getting stir-crazy whenever I have to sit still inside for more than 45 minutes at a time. I would even goes as far as saying that I'm milding enjoying my classes. I have an extremely hilarious bunch of housemates that don't seem to mind my random fits of dancing around the kitchen or making dinosaur noises. And I'm surviving the bugs that seem to like to make me their main course everytime I step outside.

Despite the fact that I can't really complain about life here in Virginia, I find myself missing my kids (the Russian ones I taught, not my non-existant, illegitimate ones) everyday. I'm taking Music and Movement for Young Children this semester and I can hardly wait for things to pick up in it. I get to take four trips to local elementary schools for it and two of those trips are for me to teach a clsss. I'm so excited. I miss getting to interact with kids and I miss teaching. Hooray for interpretive dancing, games of duck-duck-goose, Professor Kearney, and kindergarteners!
