Like a Duck Takes To the Water

French toast should never be under-valued.

I went canoeing on Saturday afternoon instead of working on my homework, but it was totally worth it. I have still been having serious river withdrawls and it felt so good to be out on the water again, even if there were no real rapids and it was cloudy out. I could feel my heart starting to race when I got into the big white van (one that painfully reminded me of the ones I'd drive/ride around in working as a raft guide this summer) that drove me to the river. I even got to spend a few miles in a play boat (which is what paddlers call a trick boat made for surf holes, not regular river-running), though we won't discus how frustrated when I failed at a quick attempt of rolling it. I didn't want to get out of the river. It was all just a reconfirmation to myself that I tend to be much more comfortable in the water than on land.

The LDS General Relief Society Meeting Saturday night was amazing and I loved it. If you want to check it out- which you totally should- follow this link:

The talks were awesome and a testament of how much God loves His children and wants them to be happy.
